Stephanie M. Jones, Founder & CEO of the Cultural Heritage Economic Alliance, Inc. (CHEA), is a leading cultural heritage tourism thought leader introducing award-winning innovative and sustainable tourism initiatives designed to leverage cultural heritage tourism as an economic driver for fueling local tourism businesses and cultural institutions in underserved communities. She is also the founder of the National Blacks in Travel & Tourism Collaborative (www.blacksintourism.org), an initiative leveling the playing field for small black and brown travel & tourism businesses, assisting them in accessing equitable opportunities in the industry through the Black Tourism Talent Directory (www.blacktourismtalent.com) and Diversity Tourism Academy. She is a tourism marketing & development consultant working with destinations to develop programs that leverage cultural heritage tourism as well as engages and positions local community assets to attract multicultural travelers to businesses and attractions in underserved communities within destinations.
Jones serves on the United States Department of Commerce Travel and Tourism Advisory Board and several other national and global tourism industry boards.
Kelly is a product development and program management consultant specializing in cultural heritage and adventure tourism. Passionate about creating and amplifying diverse, equitable, and inclusive experiences that create economic opportunity. She believes that tourism is a means to build bridges of awareness while inspiring people to grow through exposure and engagement, appreciate from connecting, and reciprocate through compassion. She is a seasoned professional that has created and collaborated on community-centered tourism initiatives that have shaped new ways for people to travel and become a force for good.
Tami is a communications and media relations consultant, connector, and writer for community-based tourism development that puts culture, nature, and humanity first. Her 20+ year career in marketing, communications, and events management has spanned the travel and tourism, entertainment, arts, outdoor, and nonprofit industries with one common theme: connection. Born and raised bi-coastally in Massachusetts and Washington State, her current home base is in New Orleans, where she holds great reverence for the culture bearers that make the city so special.
